Why We’re Doing This
Howard Wilkinson didn’t just manage Leeds United — he transformed them.
⚽He masterminded our 1991/92 League Championship — last top-flight title before the Premier League era.
🏗️He built the world-class Thorp Arch Academy — a model for youth development still respected today.
🇬🇧 He shaped the future of English football through the FA’s Charter for Quality and his leadership at the League Managers Association.
Yet, despite all this, there is no permanent tribute. UNTIL NOW.
WILKO92 is our chance to change that — fan-funded, fan-led, and fan-celebrated.
What We’re Building
At the heart of the project is a life-size statue, to be unveiled near Elland Road in 2027.
This is just the beginning.
We’re also creating:
- 📚 A definitive commemorative book, with rare insights, personal tributes, and exclusive memorabilia
- ✍️ Signed collector’s editions, with contributions from players, peers, and legends
- 🍽️ A gala tribute dinner honouring Wilko and the players from his time at Leeds

- 💬 Interactive campaigns and events where fans shape the journey
